Terms of service

1. Agreement

By using ASO Mochi (the “Service”), operated by Mahalo Mochi LLC, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.

2. What ASO Mochi does

ASO Mochi tracks keyword rankings for apps on the Apple App Store. The Service includes:

  • Daily rank checks across App Store country storefronts
  • Rank history, trend labels, and release markers
  • CSV export of your tracked keywords and ranks
  • Email alerts on significant rank shifts (paid plans)

ASO Mochi is iOS only. We do not track Google Play, Amazon Appstore, or any other marketplace, and we do not track app reviews.

3. Your account

3.1 Signing up

  • You need a valid email address and must verify it
  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • You are responsible for keeping your password safe
  • Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access at aloha@mahalomochi.com

3.2 Plans and limits

Current plan names, prices, and limits live on the pricing page. ASO Mochi offers a free tier, monthly paid plans, and a limited lifetime plan for early customers. Each plan caps the number of apps you can track, the keywords per app, and how much history we retain.

4. Payments and refunds

  • Paid plans are billed by Stripe on the cycle shown at checkout
  • You authorize us to charge your card until you cancel
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • Lifetime plans are one-time payments. If the founder batch sells out, that plan will be removed from the pricing page
  • We offer refunds case by case within 14 days of purchase if the Service was not delivered as described

We may adjust pricing for new customers at any time. Existing subscribers will get at least 30 days’ notice before any price increase on their plan.

5. Acceptable use

When using ASO Mochi, please do not:

  • Scrape, resell, or redistribute data we serve you
  • Attempt to bypass plan limits or access controls
  • Probe, exploit, or stress-test our infrastructure
  • Use the Service for anything illegal
  • Impersonate another person or company

6. Data accuracy

Rank data comes from Apple’s public App Store search endpoints. We take conservative sampling approaches to stay within acceptable use, but we cannot guarantee:

  • That every keyword resolves to a rank every day
  • That Apple’s results match exactly what end users see in the App Store app
  • That historical data will survive unlimited retention. We keep history according to your plan’s stated window

7. Our content and yours

The ASO Mochi brand, code, and design system are owned by Mahalo Mochi LLC. You keep ownership of anything you submit, including the list of apps and keywords you track. You grant us a limited license to process that data so we can run the Service.

8. Availability

We aim for reliable daily rank checks. We reserve the right to:

  • Perform maintenance with reasonable notice
  • Throttle or pause scraping if Apple changes its endpoints
  • Adjust plan limits if our costs or vendor costs change materially
  • Retire features with at least 30 days’ notice to active users

9. Ending the relationship

You can delete your account at any time from settings. Your personal data is removed within 30 days per our privacy policy.

We may suspend or close an account for repeated Terms violations, non-payment, or fraudulent activity. For non-payment we will email you first.

10. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or perfectly accurate. Use it to inform your ASO work, not as the single source of truth for business decisions.

11. Limit of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Mahalo Mochi LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability on any claim is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Mahalo Mochi LLC is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved in that state’s courts of competent jurisdiction.

13. Changes

We may revise these Terms. If the change is material, we will email you and post the new version with an updated date before the change takes effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the new Terms.
